NBW is a community that facilitates belonging, promotes togetherness and creates opportunities for all people who identify as Black women, including cis, trans and gender-fluid, from across the diaspora living in the Netherlands to thrive.

We are a lighthouse, a safe haven for all Black women of the African diaspora chasing their dreams through Europe.

We are an inclusive space for folks of all socio-economic backgrounds.

We center global Blackness, the African diaspora, and transnationalism.

We believe our very existence as a collective counteracts structural racism. 

We are guided by Black intersectional feminism.

We foster and facilitate mutual aid whenever possible.

We promote emotional, social and physical wellbeing.

We promote accountability, forgiveness and healing.

We reject respectability politics. 

We reject white supremacy, colorism, sexism, ableism, transphobia and ageism.
